| AMR-Ventura County’s Advanced EMT/Paramedic Rover Program is our newest and most cost effective service we offer for our customers who would like the benefit of having Paramedics and EMT’s on foot either stationed in specific locations or constantly roving their event looking for any signs of medical problems. Having Paramedics and EMT’s on foot throughout the event will quicken their response and ensure that medical care is always close at hand. These “Rovers” can work as a single cost effective medical provider at your event or in teams, with or without an ambulance crew to accompany them. Since AMR is the largest Paramedic Level First Responder and Paramedic Ambulance Transport Provider within Ventura County, one of our 9-1-1 Paramedic Ambulances is always close at hand even if you cannot afford to have one of our ambulances dedicated to your event. In case of a medical emergency our rover team member will assess the needs of the patient, start immediate treatment and radio our 9-1-1 communications center to respond a Paramedic Ambulance to the location of the event. The roving Paramedics and EMT’s are equipped with light and compact medical backpacks that contain an Automated External Defibrillator and other essential medical gear including Over-The-Counter medications and sunscreen. Along with our “Rover” service we also offer a complete medical communications package for your event. If you do not have a communications plan for your event that includes two-way radios, we can provide radios for your event staff to communicate with our medical staff to ensure that we are always easy to reach.
