Ventura County Fire Protection District
-Regional Dispatch Center Participation
in February of 2000, American Medical Response closed down our own emergency dispatch center and joined forces with Ventura County Fire District’s Fire Communications Center (FCC). This new partnership ensures seamless communication between FCC who takes all of the 9-1-1 calls directly from law enforcement Public Safety Answering Points throughout the county and AMR’s field units. This allows our units to be alerted to and respond to 9-1-1 calls for help quicker then ever before.
-First Responder ALS Program
American Medical Response took the initiative to enhance our county’s EMS system by having the Ventura County Fire District provide advanced life support (ALS) services in addition to the ALS services provided by AMR here in Ventura County. The Ventura County Fire Protection District’s ALS Program is accomplishing the goal of assisting AMR in meeting the needs of the communities we service together.
