American Medical Response – Ventura County is the largest 9-1-1 provider of Emergency Paramedic Ambulance Service in Ventura County. In addition to our role in the county’s emergency medical services, we also provide complete special event medical services. No matter how small or large your event is we’ve got you covered. We can dedicate Paramedic (ALS-Level), EMT (BLS-Level) ambulances or we can provide several lower cost alternatives. Our fully equipped Advanced Life Support - Paramedic standby program is our most cost effective ALS-Level service that provides a single paramedic to your event with all the equipment normally found on our paramedic ambulance. Our Bike Medic Program (BLS) is our most dynamic service that allows the quickest response through crowds. Last but not least, our Advanced EMT/Paramedic Rover Program (BLS) is our most cost effective service that provides a single EMT or paramedic to your event without the additional cost of the ambulance. All of our BLS-Level services provide an Automated External Defibrillator in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest at your event (All ALS-Level service provide a manual defibrillator that may only be used by ALS crews).
Our 9-1-1 experience and training with Mass Casualty Incidents makes us the perfect partner for your event to ensure that all of your participants and patrons are in good hands. We even offer free Over-The-Counter Medications, Sunscreen and several other useful items to anyone over 18-years of age, working at or visiting your event, with the purchase of any of our standby services. Our First-Aid Booth service is also available at no additional cost with the purchase of any ALS or BLS ambulance standby.
Due to our complete integration into Ventura County’s 9-1-1 system, we are the most prepared special event medical service to handle any major medical or traumatic event that could occur at your special event. During your event you not only have the resources of our on scene staff, but with a single radio call to our 9-1-1 communications center that we share with the Ventura County Fire Protection District, the on scene crew can bring in any number of resources from our 9-1-1 system as well as the assistance from the Ventura County Fire Department to help mitigate any situation that would arise.
In the last few years we have had the honor of serving President George W. Bush as the dedicated Paramedic crew assigned to him for the duration of his trips within Ventura County. We have also has the honor of serving Vice President Dick Cheney, Margaret Thatcher and First Lady Nancy Reagan during their trips here to Ventura County. Thankfully none of these special people have ever needed our crews to do anything beside standby, but each of these events has given us the opportunity to learn and fine tune our operation. This experience will be passed onto your event to ensure that it goes as smoothly as it can.

All Ambulance Providers, Advanced Life Support Providers and Automated External Defibrillator Providers operating within Ventura County must be approved by the Ventura County Emergency Medical Services Agency. AMR is an approved provider for all levels of Emergency Medical Service within Ventura County.
